The M.O.R.E. Jeep CJ "through" the frame shackle reversal system is a bolt on and weld in construction with all hardware included. A shackle reversal system or "SRS" allows the front suspension to travel in a much more natural action when the spring compresses. The new front pivot brackets are fully welded, and ready to bolt into existing holes in your CJ frame. Spacer platesare provided for the purpose of different winch mounting possibilities, and/or if you choose to use our Frame Plates FP100 or FP300. The shackle plates provided in this system are 3/8" thick steel. This S.R.S. mounts the shackle through the frame. A hole must be drilled in the frame and then a tube welded in it, polyurethane bushings provided are then inserted into the tube and the shackles provided hang from each side of the frame. This method will not lift the Jeep. These "stubby" brackets gain you 1-7/8more clearance. Don't let that bracket hanging down hang you up on that rock. These Stubby brackets are shorter in height which gives you more clearance for those obstacle's. The front driveshaft will need to be modified with a long travel slip in stub. It will work with or without a lift kit, spring under or over the axles. Works with stock 2" wide leaf springs only.
